Terms of Use

The MIT Free Speech Alliance is committed to supporting the privacy of its members and visitors who use this site by requiring all users to agree to this privacy and usage policy.   The members' section is a secure area requiring login where those who register can manage their own account and obtain access to various webpages closed to the general public. Each user of the members' section must register and agree to this privacy and usage policy.

We explain what data we collect and what we will and won't do with it in the Terms of Service  (e.g. we will send you emails if you want to be on our email list; we won't sell your data).  This page is a supplement, to ask you not to abuse your access to the members' section, including its forums and directory, and to deter frivolous lawsuits.

When you fill out your member profile, you can provide as much information as you want. You can hide your name, address, email, etc. when you fill out information there, in which case even members cannot see those items. If you do not check the box for hiding your name, then your name, email address, and your MIT degrees and years will show up in the members' directory.

If you have a question about these Conditions of Use, please contact admin@mitfreespeech.org.
